The German American Society informed us that they have scheduled other meetings at the GAS on the nights we hold our LU&TC meetings. So far, I have been unable to find an alternative meeting site. I have contacted the Early Head Start where we previously held meetings but cannot get my calls returned. I frankly am not sure they are still there what with budget cuts and all. If someone is in the neighborhood and could stop by to check on that, that would be great. Let me know. If you have other suggestions for meeting locations, please let me know.
I have asked the GAS if we could meet in the basement Beer Stube but have not received approval for that. Thus, I am cancelling tomorrow’s meeting. So sorry for the late notice. I am attaching the meeting notes from our meeting in August and the third draft of our Charter for your review prior to our November meeting.

Please join us at the next RCPNA General Meeting on September 29 at the German American Society. Election season is here and we have multiple races on the ballot. On Tuesday night, we will highlight two races: Multnomah County Chair and Portland City Council District 3.
The Multnomah County Chair’s race will be a facilitated discussion between the candidates. If you have a question you would like the facilitator to ask, please email us at info@rcpna.org. Due to the sheer number of candidates, the Portland City Council candidates will be available for one-on-one discussion in a “speed dating” format. See the full agenda:

Volunteers Needed
The German American Society has a big event coming up on October 10 and would love some volunteers from Rose City Park! The Positive Aging Health & Wellness Fair is a free community event connecting older adults and caregivers with health resources, local services, workshops, and fun activities. They need our help putting it on! Please sign up to volunteer here. Volunteer time slots are October 9 and/or 10.
